1                 Andaman & Nicobar [UT]
These beautiful islands and its pristine waters are home to the endless varieties of flora, fauna and marine life. The long stretches of white powdery sand are dotted with many crescent shaped virgin beaches, which are covered with thick groves of coconut palm. The breathtaking natural beauty, the clean environment, thrilling adventure sports, and the warm hospitality of the people of Andaman Nicobar islands attract thousands of nature lovers and holidaymakers from all across the globe.

2                 Arunachal Pradesh State
The land of the Rising Sun, Arunachal is predominantly tribal. There is a strong buddhist presence with splendid relics of Buddhist art and architecture. In winter, the higher reaches are inaccessible due to heavy snowfall. 80% of the state is covered in a canopy of impenetrable tropical deciduous forests.

3                 Assam State
Assam is a hot-spot for wild life tourism. It is home to the Indian Rhinoceros, Tiger, Elephant and contains abundant lush green tropical rainforests. It spans the fertile plains of the mighty Branhmaputra. Fine silks, woven mats, cane, bamboo furniture and world class tea are the main products.

4                 Jharkhand State
Jharkhand is a new state. Its forests, hills, waterfalls, wildlife, history, culture, vibrant cities and tribal communities all create a multi colored cultural tapestery. The steel city of Jamshedpur and the coal capital of India-Dhanbad are among its better known cities. Jharkhand is known for its mineral wealth and forestry products. A good percentage of the state is thickly forested; in fact even its industrialized capital Ranchi is popularly referred to as 'the city of forests and lakes'.

5                 Lakshadweep [UT]
One of the most spectacular tropical island systems, lakshadweep is tucked away off the Malabar coast. The islands offer a precious heritage of ecology and culture. The unique feature of the island is its coral reef, which makes it a pristine leisure spot. The underwater view at Lakshadweep is kaleidoscopic and breathtaking. The lagoon offers excellent potential for water sports like swimming, wind surfing, diving, snorkeliing and kayaking.

6                 Meghalaya State
With its enchanting hill stations and picturesque landscaping, Meghalaya which means 'Abode of the clouds' is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The Best known for its quaint hill station, Shillong. Meghalaya's extensive forest cover harbors are best preserved bioreserves. Cherapunjee holds the world record for most rain.

7                 Nagaland State
Nagaland lies nestled amongst three mountain ranges of Naga, Patkai and Barail that arise from the Branhmaputra Valley. Unique crafts like colorful woven shawls, mats, bamboo works, decorative spears and tribal song and dance distinguish the various tribes. The Nagas have a fancy for costumes which shows itself in the mushrooming of fashion designing organizations.

8                 West Bengal State
Well known as the state of Rabindranath Tagore, the Guru who has written India's national anthem, the artistic streak of West Bengal doesnot end at its lyrical music or literature. It finds its undertones extended to everthing from the Baluchari or Cotton handloom sarees, conch shell products to precious silks. Kolkata or 'the City of Joy', is synonymous with mouth watering street food, love for soccer, 'Baul' style of folk music, and centuries of Indian heritage blending effortlessly into a cosmopolitan culture. The fragrant mangrove forests of Sundarbans are the habitat of the famous West Bengal tiger. The state comes alive with colors and festivities during Durga Pooja.
