The Technologist.
|
One day I was in a cab coming back from a client side to my office. I asked the cabby how he felt about his job. He answered very philosophically "it’s a job just like any". Then I thought about the job I do and what I liked about it the most. I enjoyed the thrill of solving important problems, managing challenging issues, assimilating new skills, navigating through opportunities, meeting interesting people and share Ideas with them.
I finished my Masters degree in computer science with a 3.85 GPA from Lehman College, CUNY and have been in the Information Technology industry for more than 8 years. I shared the privilege to be part of many prestigious projects in companies including EDS/HP, KPMG and Microsoft; still a sense of satisfaction was never achieved believing that I could do better.
When we look at human civilization over its entire existence and any event that made significant impact on it, we will see that technology had played a key role in each of those events. I also believe that opportunity is the best luck that can happen to a person who is willing to work. Some time you choose the long path thinking it is the best because it then seemed to be the right way to go. |
