The kalarippayattu is a martial art based on the ideal of a sound mind in a sound body. It’s one of the oldest fighting systems in existence, which is primarily practised in Kerala. The house of a legendary warrior ‘Thacholi Meppayil Kunjhu Othenan’ is in Vatakara, only 30 Km from Liberty House.
Kalarippayattu includes 'Maippayattu' a series of exercises for flexibility, 'Koltari' - fighting with wooden weapons, 'Ankatari' - training in metal weapons and 'Verumkaiprayogam' - defending with bare-handed techniques like arm locks, grappling, and strikes to the pressure points.
We arrange Kalarippayattu demonstration at Liberty House and can also introduce our guests to undergo Kalarippayattu training through our associates.
